Writer’s block – What is it good for?
For no rhyme or reason, I sometimes manage to write 3000 words a day. Other times I have trouble just getting to the point of opening the Word document that contains my manuscript.
When I am on holidays, I sometimes procrastinate to the point of being willing to do absolutely anything but writing. When I don’t have any time at all, a fair amount of writing miraculously gets done.
So how do you explain that?
I have been having some trouble writing lately. For a number of reasons. All of which are irrelevant in the great scheme of things, but a muse-buster nevertheless.
Most of the time my book draws me in, as if I’m suddenly magnetic and my laptop the opposite pole. But sometimes my magnetic field (or mood) changes to a different pole (or colour) and I just can’t get it together.
So there you have it. Two magnets that sometimes attract and sometimes don’t.
My muse is hiding.
If you come across it, please let me know.
